We want to send a huge congratulations to our Mills University Studies High School band who performed last night and received all SUPERIOR (highest score possible) ratings on stage and in sight reading. Of the forty-five bands that performed in our region, only six scored this well with MUSH being one of those! Their hard work, dedication, extra practice, and outstanding directors have made this achievement possible. Way to go, band!!! #ElevatingExcellence #MusicMatters #TheBandAlwaysWins

Congratulations to the teacher and the students of the month for March! This month, Ms. Parker was nominated by students for this honor. As one said, "Ms. Parker has made me feel like I have a safe spot in school. I don't even have her class and she still reaches out to me about every event." Another student stated, "She's a good teacher because she helps me with anything I need help on." The students this month are nominated by teachers. Here are the statements made about them in the nomination process! Christopher Llamas, 9th grade: Chris is the best student behaviorally, academically, and socially. He is determined and disciplined to do the right thing even if others are not. Chris is sweet and always in a great mood. Jiovanni Martinez, 10th grade: Jiovanni has maintained As and Bs this school year, he rarely misses school, and he recently scored the highest level - level 4 - on the winter ATLAS interim assessment. He is such a hard-working student!
