Bilingual students recently hosted Ms. Katie Cruse, a PhD candidate in Biomedical Science at UAMS. She studies how to battle cancer using the body's natural immune system and had visited Zion National Park not too long ago. She shared about the many different career opportunities within science. She also shared how high school students interested in the medical profession can get started now! Also, Mr. Abell’s English language development class had just studied Zion National Park, and enjoyed hearing personal stories of the park. Thanks future Dr. Cruse!

The 8th grade beginning art class spent the weeks leading to spring break exploring fiber arts. They crafted their own cardboard looms and practiced various weaving techniques.
Meanwhile, the 9th grade art students have been volunteering to create giant circle looms and work on circular weaving to contribute to a fiber art mural in the art hall.
