Dear Maumelle Middle School Family,--
It is with great pleasure that I write this letter to you as the incoming principal at Maumelle Middle School. I am incredibly excited to start this journey and it is truly an honor to be a part of the Maumelle Middle School family and community. I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to lead a school that already has a unique and special place in my heart.
I arrive within the Maumelle community as a lifelong educator. I am from Forrest City, AR and have attended the University of Central Arkansas, the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, and Harding University for my educational learning growth years. I have taught Elementary PE and coached in the Pine Bluff, Watson Chapel, and Conway Public School Districts. I also previously served as Assistant Principal with Conway Junior High for four years.
In addition to my role as an educator, I am first and foremost a father and husband. My wife Carise is an Elementary Assistant Principal in Conway Public Schools and we are blessed with two beautiful girls. My oldest daughter Zoe (5) begins kindergarten this year and my youngest daughter Aubrey (3) will continue to be the life of the party as she embarks upon Pre K-3 this fall. I am committed to being a role model to our students, just as I have been to my girls.
I believe that learning should be fun and students are first in everything we do. We must set high expectations for learning in the most nurturing and positive environment where children can succeed. My goal is to ensure that every student is provided the highest quality of education possible. Working alongside you as our staff, parents, and community, I am confident that we can help each student achieve their very best.
To our students, parents, and community, I cannot wait to meet you all. I hope that you are excited about this upcoming school year. It is going to be a fun year of learning together while also growing as a school family. I look forward to celebrating our collective success this 2021-2022 academic school year.
