We are so privileged to have Dr. Thompson at our schools. He leads a drum line, and they did a great job of backing up our Bullies story today. We are so thankful to have Dr. Thompson as a mentor and role model. Thank you, Dr. T!

We had a great assembly about not being a bully this afternoon! The skit was backed up by the music of Dr. Thompson's drumline! Wesley Peters came to present his book called Bullies, and some staff members and students acted out the parts!

FYI! The best times are early morning and evening!

It’s National School Breakfast Week, and you don't have to try green eggs and ham like Mrs. Neal's class. 🍳 Breakfast is FREE for every single student in PCSSD starting this school year!

According to the School Nutrition Association, students who eat breakfast are more likely to:
📈 Reach higher achievement levels in reading and math
📝 Score higher on standardized tests
🎯 Have better concentration and memory
🏃‍♂️ Maintain a healthy weight and stay alert

We are proud to fuel our students' minds and bodies! Way to go, Mrs. Neal and Sherwood Elementary, for this fun memory. #PCSSDProud #ServeAll #NationalSchoolBreakfastWeek #ReadAcrossAmerica

A student in a green t-shirt takes a bite of green scrambled eggs from a white plate that also holds a slice of ham.
A white paper plate on a wooden desk contains a serving of bright green scrambled eggs and two slices of ham, served with a teal plastic fork.
A smiling student in a maroon dress sits at her desk, holding a teal fork with a bite of ham as she prepares to eat.
A teacher smiles while holding a stack of Dr. Seuss books, including The Cat in the Hat, Fox in Socks, One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish, and Green Eggs and Ham.
A young student in a white hoodie sits at a desk, looking down at a plate of green eggs and ham with a hand over her mouth, appearing amused or surprised.
Please join Harris Elementary in celebrating Read Across America week.

PCSSD is aware of the concerns being raised by Lifetouch. PCSSD had an agreement in place prior to all of this new information being released, and the process for providing all school photos had already begun. PCSSD is currently reviewing for potential changes with the agreement, and the district will be considering other options for the next school year.
