In October, we're celebrating National Principals Month!

This morning, principals from across PCSSD gathered at Central Office for their regular monthly meeting and were surprised with a special "PCSSD Principal Fuel Station" featuring encouraging messages and healthy snacks to kick off the month-long celebration.

Throughout October, we'll be highlighting the outstanding leaders who serve our schools each day. Join us in thanking our hardworking principals for their dedication to students, staff, and the broader PCSSD community.

Harris Elementary Families,

Our 3rd–5th grade students will be taking the ATLAS Interim Assessment Monday–Thursday this week, beginning at 8:00 a.m.

Please help your student put their best foot forward by ensuring they get plenty of rest each night, eat a good breakfast, arrive at school on time and ready to do their best!

As an incentive, the plan is for students who receive a 3 or 4 on their ATLAS Interim Assessment to participate in an incentive field trip to Crystal Bridges! 🎉

“C” US DIFFERENTLY

Our overall district letter grade has improved from a D to a C, and schools across the district have experienced some big progress.

Here’s what we mean:
🚀 4 schools jumped multiple grade levels
🏅 11 schools improved by at least one letter grade
📈 19 schools increased their overall accountability scores

We are proud of these achievements, and we are C-ing even greater things ahead!

Good news! It's a calf! Mrs. Harris has adopted a calf on behalf of Harris Elementary! All we know for now is that it's a holstein cow, and we are very excited! Be on the lookout for the name of our new friend and where he/she lives! We can't wait to see who it is!
